- Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type Services.msc and press Enter.
- Scroll down the page. Right-click Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service, and choose Properties.
- In the new dialog that appears, click Stop.
- Set the Startup Type to Disabled.
- Click Apply | OK.
Perform System Restore
System Restore undoes unwanted settings and changes so that your PC will run normally.
- Type System Restore in the Search Box on the Taskbar.
- Open Create a restore point from the Search Results.
- You have a new dialog. Click System Protection tab > System Restore.
- Click Next, choose a restore point and then click Next.
Perform Disk Check-Up
Your computer might have failed to retrieve data from system files. Check your hard disk for bad sectors and attempt to repair them using the Check Disk tool in Windows. Here are the command-lines to automate this task with an elevated Command Prompt.
- Press Windows Key.
- Type CMD in the Search Box on the Taskbar.
- Right click CMD and choose run as administrator.
- Execute the following command:
Chkdsk /r /f
Remove Incompatible Software
If you’re encountering this error after you installed a new software, you need to uninstall it. Here are the steps to safely remove it:
- Click Start, select Settings.
- Click System icon, and then go to Apps & Features tab.
- Select Sort by install date option from the second drop-down box.
- Right-click that particular software and choose Uninstall.
- Follow the uninstallation wizard till the end to complete the software’s removal process.
- Reboot your computer once the uninstall wizard is over.
