The Longest Five Minutes is named so because when the game starts off, the main character, Flash, is in the last five minutes of his battle with the final boss and he recalls the events from the past. Another interesting aspect of the plot is that the main character has lost all his memory at the time he begins that battle with the demon lord including his attacks. However, with the help of flashbacks, he tries to regain his memory, piece by piece. The premise of the game sets it apart from all other RPG games. This is a unique plot as traditionally you will find RPG games that start with the smaller battles and the main character makes his way to the final boss.
Lags and Freezes
The Longest Five Minutes has received an overwhelming response in just a few weeks after its release, however, despite its success it has also been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism regarding certain issues faced during gameplay. And the same holds exactly true for lags. Another source of nuisance is the sudden freezes experienced in the game. These freezes render the player helpless, forcing them to restart their computer manually.
Even though the game is known to contain some technical errors which result in various issues for the players such as those mentioned above, in certain cases the fault lies at the end of the player’s computer. So while the developers work on their jobs and fix the bugs and errors, you too can do your part to improve the gameplay experience. For example, if you are having issues with the graphics and display while playing The Longest Five Minutes, you can update the graphics card and see if that makes any positive difference. You can do so by downloading the updates from the Internet and installing them. These updates are released from time to time and are aimed at ensuring that the graphics run smoothly on all the latest games.
If your problem is not solved by updating the drivers, you can try experimenting with some of the older versions as they might be able to solve your problem. Special care should be taken that you only download the final version of a video card and not use the beta version. This is due to fact that beta versions are prone to having terrible bugs in them which might further worsen the situation you are currently in.
Properly installing the game is a major step in ensuring that your game runs smoothly. If you fail to do so, probably the game might not even start. So before you start the installation process of The Longest Five Minutes, you are strongly advised to turn off the antivirus program. This is because the antivirus software sometimes labels important game files as harmful and deletes them without any notice. This is the last thing you want while installing any game, so that is why you should make it a habit to disable antivirus software on your system before you install any game.
While playing The Longest Five Minutes, if you experience lags and freezes, you should try experimenting with the settings menu. The first thing you should do is to reduce the frame rate to 60 Frames Per Second. Another compromise you can make is lower the overall graphics of the game. This might decrease the display quality but it will guarantee you freedom from lags and freezes. Similarly, you can lower the resolution as well. Ideally, it should be set as per the size of your computer’s monitor but in a situation where you want to reduce lags and freezes, you can reduce it to as low as 720p.
