A Way Out is an action-thriller game in which the protagonist breaks out of jail and then heads on to enjoy more adventures in the world outside. The biggest difference between it and many other video games available in open world is that it is available as a multiplayer only game.
You have to either play on a LAN, online, or on a PC in a multiplayer game mode. The interesting thing is that both players will play the role of these two brothers and how they planned an escape from the confinement.
Optimize the Computer, Enjoy Seamless Gaming
ST Cleaner is a digitally signed, verified software
It wouldn’t be wrong to call it the Far Cry of the future because of its recent release, and as more updates are expected in the start of next year. But most users have reported that A Way Out sadly lags and freezes often.
Here are a few methods in which you can avoid these lags and freezes for A Way Out and enjoy it without having to bear with these issues.
Black Screen and Freezes
A generalised solution for problems in games is to update them. A new game on your system will work fine. However, when it starts to save more files, it will lag a little. This can lead to black screens or system freezes. The solution is to simply update the patch.
Do so by downloading the XBox One update for A Way Out.
Update the Game
According to reports, the current optimal version for gameplay is 10.0.16299.5101.
So select the main menu and go to Settings | System | Console Info | OS Version. Check it to see what version your system is running. If you have legally bought the game, simply update it by going to the official website.
Uninstall and then Reinstall the Game
Another way to go about it is by uninstalling and reinstalling the game on your system. You can do that by simply going to the main menu and selecting System | Settings | System | Storage | Manage Storage | View Contents | Games | A Way Out | Uninstall
Now simply reinstall it from the official website.
Get a Powerful Graphics card
Most of the time it isn’t the game that is causing an issue. The Graphics card can also cause issues. For example, a graphics card of only 1GB memory won’t be able to run the game. Similarly, if you have a bare minimum of 2GB graphics card, the game will run too slow or freeze in between. So check the system requirements and then decide if the game is compatible with the system specs or not.
Increase RAM
If you are running the game on PC, then you may have low RAM. To check if the RAM is adequate, first check the specifications of the game.
Once that is done, run the game on your system, now go to Task Manager.
Check for the amount of RAM your PC is currently consuming. If it is at 100% or above 90%, upgrade the RAM.
Reset Console
If you are playing A Way Out on console and it starts to lag or freeze, your only option is to:
- Turn off the console
- Unplug the power
- Press the power button three times
- Now turn the power back on
That’s it. The game won’t crash again.
By resetting the system power, you are actually flushing out all the junk that is stored in the memory.
Enable Vsync
You can also enable the Vsync option on your system to reduce lags and freezes. To do so, simply go to Nvidia Control Panel and then select Manage 3D settings.
Now, select Vertical sync from the list and select Force On to turn it on.
What the VSync does is that it aligns the vertical frames on your computer screen so that you only see one frame rate during quick mouse movements.
Vsync can increase CPU & GPU processing power, but still, it provides optimum level of graphics for playing the game.
You can also change other game settings such as pre-rendered frames, Physx, Shared Cache.
Here are the some recommendations provided by experienced players:
- Physx = CPU
- Maximum pre rendered frames = 1
- Shared Cache = Off
- Threaded Optimization = On
You can change all these by going to the Manage 3D settings option in Nvidia Control Panel.
That’s it. We hope changing these settings will reduce the lags and freezes you experience while playing A Way Out.
